Each session aims to take you on a journey through the self to selflessness - the true philosophy of yoga. Every class is unique, intentionally curated by considering a theme connected to current astrology, elements of existence and yogic philosophy. Elle holds space for an experience that honours the ancient roots of this practice.

THE BENEFITS OF MEDITATION

Meditation is a tool that you can carry with you wherever you go in life, in any situation you may face. The aim of meditation is to unravel the layers of the mind and the external circumstances that have conditioned it, enabling the individual to come into self awareness and connection to all things. The result of this cleansing of the mind from worries or troubles of the physical world is liberation from restriction and eventually, ultimate freedom. When we talk about cleansing the mind, it’s a returning back home to the authentic self. In its essence, we are coming back to the rhythms of Mother Nature. Meditation is the key that can open doors to balance in all areas. Everybody’s journey is unique - let’s guide each other home.

Leave the hustle and bustle of the external world at the door and let’s sit together in a space that has been carefully and lovingly prepared for you, by me. It can be great to move and meditate as more than one for many reasons: the added power of support, community and unity are just a few. The route to selflessness is through the self, after all! As your guide, I’ll be sharing a variety of techniques that I have learnt from spiritual teachers and practice daily.

CHOCOLATE YOGA

Cacao before yoga can be a sensational boost to our energy levels and elevate our practice - scientifically approved. Through combining mindful movement and meditation with this sacred plant medicine, we are able to connect to our heart centre and really let go to find our flow. Enabling more openness, flexibility, power and focus in our mind - body relationship. Event dates to be announced.

KIDS YOGA

Imagine a world where everybody had learnt how to regulate their nervous system from young. One where we are primarily driven by compassion for ourselves, each other, all beings and our incredible earth. How different might your life be, or had been? Children’s yoga is a fun modality with a powerful impact that nourishes these little seedlings and ensures healthy roots for blossoming growth.

Love Elle’s vibe? She’s now available to guide yoga, pranayama, and meditation in studios across Melbourne. Bringing a holistic approach to wellbeing through movement, breath, and connection, Elle holds space for intentional offerings, deep presence and and emotional healing.   • Yoga derives from the word ‘yuj’ = union. It has been taught from the root of yoga that spending time with mindfulness in a comfortable asana can help imbalances in body, mind and energy. What we do, think, say and how we are is the same, creating a cycle where each action has a reaction (see Newton’s third formula!). Everything is deeply interwoven, from ancient knowledge through to our world as we know it today…even when it seems disconnected. Yoga is more than just an exercise - it’s a holistic practice and a way of life, of being. It’s a puzzle piece and the whole puzzle at the same time.

  • Hatha is a yoga form that focuses on the balanced state. For example: sun and moon, left and right, feminine and masculine energy, active and passive, body and mind. Through internal balance we are able to build union with the external and find oneness in duality. 

  • Yoga and meditation can be for all abilities, ages, bodies and everyone/everything in between. These beneficial practices aren’t about pushing ourselves beyond to do the most impressive pose or to be the perfect person, yet rather encourage us to meet our limits and understand them, which allows us to then go beyond. It’s all about the process; the journey to finding harmony and reaching places that we might not have believed were possible. And I’m here to tell you that anything is possible! This liberation within the self allows the world around us to fall into place by nature, both in and out of a session. It’s a gateway to our awareness of mind, where we are able to observe the body, the breath and our movement in a healthy way. They aid us in concentration and focus, allowing us to find that sweet spot in the centre. This alignment has the potential to elevate our every day life and other practices, mastering the waves of fluctuation that arise, which we all know very well.

  • Absolutely not! Everybody is built differently due to our genes. There are plenty of alternatives, modifications and adjustments available to make you comfortable in each pose. Flexibility is something that can be worked on over time, yet it’s important that we listen to our bodies and know when we are at our limit. This practice is about your journey. Plus, we all have to start somewhere!

  • Yoga nidra - guided deep relaxation. Trakata - object focus. Sound - mantra (using the instrument of own voice), with occasional elements of external sound. PET (Pranic Energy Technique). Pranayama - breathing techniques. Silent meditation - briefly guided at the beginning and end, a space for you to just…be. Silence is the only place where we can really meet ourselves and travel beyond the borders of this self.

  • Ceremonial Cacao is prepared with intention and mindfulness, an ancient practice used by the Aztecs and Mayans passed down through generations and across cultures. It is mixed with plant based milk/water and spices. In this way, it works as a medicine and heart opener. It releases stress and emotions, being a great pathway to connecting with the self and others on a deeper level.

  • Classes are generally taught by age group: 3-4 years, 5-8 years, 9-12 years and 12-17 years!
